You are very right that the info is NOT consistent. This is true of this family throughout my search. Of particular note is "Willie" Adams, who was my grandfather. They have the name, birth date and father incorrect. The only consistent thing is the mother is Phoebe Davis. The father they listed -- Artemus Adams -- is actually the grandfather!! I don't know where else to look for their marriage records, which are crucial to learn more about Phoebe Davis --- I have nothing on her parents and where she was born. Different records show Canada (Fr), Vermont, Massachusetts and Ohio. However, since their 3 children were born in MA, it would seem logical that they were married there.
