Maybe it's an old New England inside joke. I would be curious to see a newspaper write-up for this marriage. Jane (Conroy) Farrell died in 1857. Daniel Farrell was raised by his stepmother, John Farrell's second wife: Annie (Bergin) Farrell. It would interesting to see who the witnesses were for this marriage and who was in attendance.
