His mother was Mary Eliza Andrus (b.1851in Marlborough, Ontario, Canada), and her father was ... Merrit Orsamus Andrus (b. 24 September 1809 at Timoth, Rutland, Vermont). He died in 1887 at Marlborough, Carleton Co., Ontario, Canada. I wonder if there is a connection with your Andrus line?
