My some of my maternal family came from North Adams so I saved this email information from someone else. The information was from 2006 so the contact name could be different. Gwenda "If you contact the North Adams Public Library (http://www.naplibrary.com (413)662-3133) and speak to Kacy Westwood, she can assist you further. They have looked up a ton of obits for me which have proven to be invaluable in my research. They will charge you a fee for the time spent looking but since you already know the date, it should be a nominal fee. Typically they are able to look items up in the Berkshire Eagle and North Adams Transcript- but they may have other newspapers. I hope that helps!
