I found the 1889 City Directory for Adams on an Ancestry database. There are two undertakers listed on page 102: - Richmond and Smith on Dean Street and - Simmons, A.H. at 28 Park Street. They could be the "R" and "S". Unfortunately neither is still in business according to phone listings at anywho.com. The 1989 City Directory also lists a French Catholic Church as "Our Lady of the Seven Dolors". I would bet this is the same as the "Notre Dame" church in the city-data. I think you can find a phone number for it.
