I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I am trying to find out if anyone knows anything about the family of William DAVIS who was a resident of Great Barrington in the 1790 and 1800 censuses. In 1790 the family consisted of 1 male over age 16, 3 males under 16, and 5 females. In 1800, the family consisted of 2 males under 10, 3 males 10-16, 1 male 16-26, 1 male 45 and above, 2 females under 10, 1 female 10-16, 2 females 16-26, 1 female 26-45, and 1 female 45 and above. I can't seem to find any records for Great Barrington at NEHGS prior to 1800. My great-great-great grandfather (whose name was also William DAVIS) was born in Berkshire County around 1789, and he was supposedly a Junior.
