<<If Tyrington should be Tyringham, maybe Sturbridge should be Stockbridge?>> Good thought?? I do not know much about MASS .. although, I have soooooo many ancestor that were there.. including the Winthrop's, Feake's and Upham and Howe lines, to name a small few .. I found the names of these townships in the genealogy book " The descendents of John Upham" of Mass by F.K.Upham. It was written in 1892. In my line back to 1700 these townships are repeated over and over.. The genealogy of MY line lists the names of these townships.. example.. "93. Nathan UPHAM (Ezekiel, Ezekiel, John, Phineas, John) of STURBRIDGE AND TYRINGTON , Mass. b. Jan 18,1760; m. Nov 11 1784, RHODA FISHER,b. Nov 26 1761 of NEEDHAM, Mass. He d. Dec 1 1828. She d. June 8 1843 " So, the township names could be a misspelling or were they correct in 1892 from documentation in the late 1600's and 1700's? While were on this topic.. Where is NEEDHAM, Mass ? and Monterey, Mass ? Several children of Rhoda and Nathan lived in Monterey, Mass. *************** HELP !!! Again.. Does anyone know this person and her parents ?? RHODA FISHER,b. Nov 26 1761 of NEEDHAM, Mass. She d. June 8 1843 We have a FEW Rhoda's in this line... Probably 5 Thanks, Jill
