    2. May we PLEASE depend on the list owner or our own virus checking programs to fight against virus? If alarms are sounded by Paul Revere wannabes, anytime there is a socalled "VERY STRONG" indication that a virus might be present, the list would never be able to conduct business for all of the virus warnings. Virus checkers protect people's computers, not warnings. I wish people would warn their neighbors and coworkers about hepititis, influenza HIV and the common cold, which virus actually kill people.... every day. 3. I have virus protection software, but recently, I avoided a virus not because of the software but because of a warning from email. My virus protection software was not yet "ready" to detect the new virus. I wish we would not be so harsh with apparently well intended people who issue virus warnings. WE ALL HAVE DELETE KEYS, AND ONE KEY STROKE CAN ELIMINATE ANY MESSAGE WE DO NOT WANT TO READ. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ph1003309@onemain.com" <Travels@jps.net> To: <MABERKSH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2002 12:21 PM Subject: Re: Important Virus warning > May we PLEASE depend on the list owner or our own virus checking > programs to > fight against virus?
