I am looking for the parents of Absalom Backus 1780-1855. He was married to Abigail Luce in 1803. She died 1824 along with four of their children. I am looking for her parents too. There seemed to be two men of the same name. The other one married Ruth Root and I believe his father was Lebbeus Backus. But I can not find my Absalom's father. Thank you for any help you can give.
