I have quite a bit about him from the Schuylerville area. I'm guessing it was fairly common to move around between states in that area...NY, MA, VT. I'm stymied as to finding Melvin's parents. I don't think he was actually Cordelia's grandson. I'm at a dead end in that search. I was hoping to find someone living who may have descended from Melvin and Grace who might know something about his parentage. Cordelia Tefft's father was also from MA...John Potter m. Lucinda Hay.
