There is not a Taconic Mountain on the map these days. I suspect it was renamed. Does anyone know what mountain it might be? I include the section from the deed. on the Township that was lately Sold at Tahconock, to John Halenbeek and others East on the Top of the first great ledge of the mountain west of Sheffield and of the house of John Van Gilder called the Takcannock mountain Thanks very much. Mary Woodworth's parents were Selah Woodworth and Rebecca Dunham. This couple were married in Sheffield, Massachusetts. That was in 1773. That would put John's wife's parents in Sheffield near the land he bought on the mountain west of Sheffield. Mary herself was born in Connecticut. This is my find of the day. Jay

These surnames are My DIRECT lines .. Does anyone have any information on them... Nathan UPHAM married Rhoda FISHER.. I have they burial for the Berkshire site.. I have found a website that has Rhoda FISHER they have her parents as Ebenezer FISHER and Sarah CHUBB... her birth is the same as I have from a documented source the "Book Desc. of John Upham 1892" and the IGI has a birth file which is from actual Vital Records from Needham, Norfolk, MA. So.. I think that she is the last recorded daughter of Ebe and Sarah .. any comments or Family out there ? I NEED the marriage record of Rhoda HIN(S)MAN to Chester UPHAM.. 21 March 1814 Berkshire Co., MA 9 of there children were born there before 1828 then they moved to Batavia, Genesee Co., NY The first two daughters were named Jane and Mary Melinda ... that naming pattern may help here ?? Rhoda had her fathers name as GEORGE HINSMAN from MASS on her death certificate. This line has REBECCA MORSE, HANNAH STEARNS, ABAGAIL Howard HAYWARD, RUTH WOOD,ELIZABETH SLADE, in them .. they are my direct line grandmothers backwards from Rebecca 1727 MA to Eliz Slade 1602 England ..
