Seeking information on a Silas Shippee and/or a Silas Shippey. There seems to have been two of these creatures living in the Adams area of Berkshire county in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Silas Shippey was a witness to the will of my Elijah Sprague in 1800. Another was the brother of Freelove Shippee who married Samuel Ross, Jr. who could have been the uncle (or father) of my 5th G Grandfather, David Ross, who married Zerviah Sprague in 1801 in Stamford, Bennington County. Zerviah's half sister was Avis Sprague Huit, who married a John Huit and was in the area in 1800-1805 or so. Also looking for info on Henry Sprague, Elijah's son and Zerviah's brother.
