That's the way the "Badtrans" virus arrives. It does not even require that you open the attachment! It is making the rounds of genealogy addresses right now. I have received it twice since yesterday, from messages that looked similar to Rootsweb list messages. Your system may have become infected. Update your DAT files with an anti-virus software and run a scan of your hard drive to delete the virus. After that, your anti-virus software will probably warn you if another incoming e-mail contains the virus, and will prevent you from opening it and give you a chance to delete the e-mail.
