Hi People: I have spent years searching for the parents of my ggg grandfather, Benjamin Rogers. He was born somewhere in CT in 1795. When he was twenty or so, he moved from CT to the Great Barrington, area of MA. and was one of the first settlers of a wild, mountainous, and now impenetrable place touching upon the MA towns of Lee, Monterey and Tyringham. In the 1850 census, he is married to Anne Roberts who was also born somewhere in CT in 1795. Their children were: Alanson, b. 1825, m. Harriet Breckenridge Mary b. 1825 m. Solomon Worden Jesse b. 1828 James b. 1829 James fought in the Civil War and was interviewed by The Berkshire Gleaner when he was 79 years old. He was still living on Benjamin's old property at the time. I think Benjamin's wife, Anne Roberts may be from the Waterbury, CT area and may be the daughter of Jesse Roberts. If anyone can give me any help, ideas, hunches on this, my most mystifying genealogical problem, I will be forever grateful. Lynn Rogers Wallrapp
