The Newton and Barnfather Funeral Home has been out of business for over 20 years. The Dwyer Funeral Home in Pittsfield (413-442-5094) may have its records. I believe a Dwyer was a Newton and Barnfather partner. If you find out whether or not they have the records, I'd like to know.
