He therefore was probably born in the 1790s. Have you found his parents yet? I have a Ruth Hunt, whose marriage to Eseck Brown was 1786, recorded in the N. Adams Town Hall. She was born 1760/61. I cannot find her parents. Ruth and Eseck Brown named their children Eunice, Betsey, Sophia, Cynthia, Chloe, and Orrin. The family left Berkshire Co. ca 1803 and went to Herkimer Co. NY. John Hunt's father could possibly be a brother of my Ruth Hunt. Same area and time frame. Do you think there is any connection?
