I am looking for any members of the Rote family.They settled pre 1850 in the Sheffield area. Leonard Rote and family are listed on the Sheffield 1850 census and continued thru the years till his death in 1902. Son Silas and his family also lived in Sheffield on ROTE HILL. I am interested in any information about the descendents of the family. I am descended from Peter Rote's branch. He was a brother of Leonard. Does Rote Hill still exist as a road?
