I found my missing Suzanne Daignault, died 1883, Adams MA, wife of Paul Hypolite Bourdon last week, buried in Canada, St.Cyprien Parish. She was brought there ( I presume by train) 2 or 3 days after her death. THe undertaker was Simmons as noted in a previous post becasue your copy of the record may have an S or R in a far column. One copy had it; one did not.THose initials must have referred to the undertakers. Now I had been looking for her for about 2 years but had not come across the "Canada" burial {actualy I had but had missed it the first time round}becasue there are TWO SETS of the death register made by the same person, same handwriting, BUT, they both contain slightly different inforamtion. The one I was working from sid not have the place of burial {Canada} noted on it. Hence, I was looking in Adams. I must have seen the Canada notation once in the past, but time having gone by , and wroking for the second record...totally forg! otten it. Its a good lesson to learn that there may have be more than one copy of a record! Following this information and ancestry's recent aquistion of Drouin film, I found her burial, with a mention of Adams MA in St Cyprien! So thank you again, you must have spent sometime looking for it. Laurel Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
