Approx 1870, my gggfather Mitchel BEAUDOIN moved his family consisting of Mary, his wife, (who is possibly 5 years older than him) son Jacques (James) b 25 Feb 1851, son Joseph, (perhaps 9 yrs younger) & dau Amy (10 yrs younger) from Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada to Pittsfield, Berkshire, MA. In 1882 James, as he was probably known by then, married Mary Mountain (La Montagne ?) who had been born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1863. It is possible that Mary had been working as a servent in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine. In any case, In 1885, they were settled in Hebron, CT where my grandfather Peter A.
