I am trying to locate information on the BRIZZEE/BRESEE/BURZEE name, in particular for any Henry. The first Bresees went to the Egremont/West Stockbridge area as a result of the rent wars with Livingston Manor. Gideon Bostwick's records have a number of them up to 1795. I am trying to fill in the gaps especially for a Henry born about 1799. My other problem is that for Bostwick's death notice of 1785 for a Hendricus Burzee, several researchers are unable to agree if that is the infant who had been baptized that day, his father, or his father's uncle (married to an Elizabeth Schertz from Hillsdale). Are there any West Stockbridge cemetery lists available for that time frame? We have not been able to trace any of the children of Hendrick and Elizabeth Schertz Bresee, but have done quite well with Christopher and Agnetje's children. Any hints of where to look for the missing family members would be appreciated. Phyllis
