I am researching what I believe to be the same strand, although I'm having difficulty in connecting my ancestors to Samuel and Sarah - I'm pretty sure one of their sons, (b. 2/28/1809 in St. Lawrence county New York) was my gggg grandfather, but I can't find a birth certificate to verify this. Any information you may have would be helpful. I did find information that Samuel's father was John and Samuel was born in Vermont before moving with his father to New York.. John also relinguished control of the children to John Brooks after Samuel and Sarah died in 1811, feeling that he was too old to care for them. thanks, Kelli
