My grandmother, Mary Rogers Drake (Dingman, Ross) was born in 1895. She often told me that her family either contained the name Rogers or were related by marriage somehow. She said that they always tried to include the name Rogers in naming new babies. Her middle name was Rogers, she named my father Roger. Her mother's name was Alice Mae or May Warner (Drake).
