I am seeking to verify the parents, siblings & children of Nicodemas HARRINGTON who is listed in the 1790 and 1800 Federal Census in Adams, Berkshire Co., MA. In some Revolutionary War records, the last name is variously spelled HEARNDON/HERINGTON, and I believe the records I have found are for his father, also named Nicodemas (or Nichodemus). I would also like to know if this family came to the Adams area from Smithfield, R.I., which might help me get a link to his ancestors. Nicodemas was born about 1783, probably in Adams, and married Salome SHELDON (dtr of John) about 1803. Known children include: Otis Harrington, b. 1804 Augustus, b. 1809 Nicodemus? b. 1812 Daniel Sheldon, b. 14 July 1816 - married Mary Ann MEAD on January 6, 1841, dtr of Seymour Mead and Lucy Mason [Daniel was my gr-grgrandfather. His other siblings are unknown.] By 1820, Salome is listed as head of household in Adams, and soon after that Otis and others began moving to Lake County, OH.
