    3. Have you tried Columbia County in New York state, just west of Berkshire County? There were Hubbards and Hollenbecks there. In the History of Columbia County, published in 1878, page 310, 2nd column, there is mention of a John Hubbard as a member of the Congregational and Presbyterian Churches of New Lebanon in the late 1700s. Both the Pittsfield Library and the Columbia County Historical Society (Kinderhook, NY) have records from New Lebanon and Columbia County.
