I was there. There are addresses, no instructions and no where to go for what dates. Most counties have different places you go for records from different dates. I didn't even see one for tax records. Dora --- Carl & Marge Hommel <hommel@sundial.net> wrote: > Dora, > > Please go to the Berkshire County Gen Web Site, and > click on Hinsdale. Specifically, all the addresses are for where to find current records. I need to know where to go to find records from the beginning of the 19th century. That isn't usually the same office. Have you tried www.familysearch.org? To to Library, then Catalog, then Place (County and State). Then choose the type of record you wish. If you find anything you would like to see, order at a local Mormon Family History Library. You can find a list of them at various locations at their website. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dora Smith" <tiggernut24@yahoo.com> To: <MABERKSH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2002 5:26 PM Subject: Re: how to find deed, tax records, 1824-6, Hinsdale > Specifically, all the addresses are for where to find > current records.
