Marian, We have a Chloe King who married a Ehud Hopkins. I have no eveidence that she was born in Great Barrington, however most of her siblings were born there. I have her birthdate as October 3rd 1744, so that is probably a little early for your Chloe, But could be from the same family. I would be interested on what you find. by the way the source for her birthdate was "Descendants of Capt. John King of Nathampton Massachusetts", by Andrew King Keller, My Chloe had sisters Kezia, Elizabeth, her brothers was Joseph, Asahel, Rueben and Lucius. Our ancestor is Joseph. I show no other children for any other sibling that were King's except Lucius whose Son was Harry. My Chloe's parents were Asahel King and Rebecca Nash. Look forward to hearing from you if you find out anything further. Also further down our line Josph King, Chloe brother had a great granddaughter named Ann Moriah Hart and her parents were William Hart and mother was Betsy Jackson. Betsy was born April 16 1787 and her parents were Theophilus Jackson and Mother's first name was Lucy. Do you think there maybe a connection there to your Alpha Jackson? Kerrie (King) Berg > searching for information on Alpha Jackson and his wife Chloe King who were married 17 Feb 1814 in Berkshire County probably in Great Barrington, MA. In 1850 they were living in Orleans County, Yates Twp NY. wanted the parentage and ancestors of Chloe King. > > Marian > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > -- CoreComm Webmail. http://home.core.com
If any of you run across a William King b c 1750, I am looking for his family. He married an Abigail and had sons c 1770 on : Amasa, Reuben, Abiram (Byron), Isaac, Wm Jr, Lyman, Stephen, James plus Mariah and Polly. His wife's name was Abigail. They moved to Genessee Co, NY and some to Charleston and Ravenna, OH. Mine, to Canaan. It is noted they were from the Berkshires. I have been searching New Marlboro and Great Barrington.
