Allen b. 1824 of Oneida Co., New York who married abt. 1844 Mary J. Sprague b. abt 1827 , daughter of Stephen Sprauge and wife Dorothy, They are all listed in the census for 1850.They are listed with Ira Sprague age 6 ( maybe should have been Ira Allen as her parents are over 60 years old) James had a son Charles b. abt 1851 and a daughter Charlotte b. abt 1853 also born in NY. Daughters Luciella,& Lucinda (Twins) b 1854 Married Turk Brothers from Delaware Co., New York and Carrie b. 1864 all born in Michigan. James , Charles and Charlotte and some brothers of James names unknown as yet, moved to Bay Co., Michigan in the 1850's. I can trace the first three into the early 1900's In Michigan, Mary died abt 1857 and James remarried to Catherine Washburn b. abt 1838 in New York. They were Married 24 Apr 1859 in Hillsdale Co., Michigan. Catherine leaves the picture and James Married Harriet E. Marsh b. 1830 in Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, they married 07 Dec 1862 in Hillsdale Co., Michigan. Census Records indicate that Jame's father was from Mass and mother from VT. Harriet was the daugghter of Amasa Marsh- Mother Lucinda Stevens. Harriet was married also to Homer C. Northrup b. 1821 Tyringham, Berkshire Co, Massachusetts who died 31 Jul 1862 at Keokuk, Lee Co., Iowa in the Civil War. This man and his parents and siblings have been my brick wall for 15 years.
