I guess I lost track of you over the years. In the late 70s you assisted me with the Strickland and Waterhouse line and sent me quite alot of info on the Stricklands. I'm still struggling with finding the parents of Thomas Waterhouse though. In the 1850 census of Otis, Volney Haskell is listed as born in 1819/20 and listed as a merchant. I was in Otis this summer (overnight) but was able to read some info written by a woman named Haskell who had a hand written history of Otis. A map of Otis showed Volney Haskell living very near to my ancestor's brother - Joseph Waters who was the postmaster in 1850. I don't know how much silverware he manufactured, but I do have a spoon of his. I did find his name listed on a list of silversmiths on a web site for antique silverware. I'm so glad to know you are still doing research. I may have to help you give me some clues as the the Waterhouse dilema. There are other Waterhouses in the Otis Vital Records to 1850 and wondered if they fit in somehow to my line. Any ideas?
