Was there a location known as "South Adams" separate from the present North Adams, MA? Thank You Gene Deal
Charlotte Pease Davis does not include a "South Adams" in her Directory of Massachusetts place names. North Adams was incorporated in 1878, formerly being the north part of Adams. My guess is your g-g-grandmother is refering to the part of town which today remains as Adams Edwin W.
