He operated a large farm at so-called Curtis Corner, at the intersection, of Tower Road and North Street: . Also in Dalton there is Curtis Ave, off of Main Street . pg 102 same book: the prize for "Most Traveled House in Dalton' would probably go to the Elijah Curtis house which has finally come to rest at 411 High Street. Originally located near Daltons main road, the house was moved to the present Pine Grove Park when a boarding house for mill girls was built on this site and later moved to its present loaction some time after 1858". pg 111: Wrote Chloe Curtis Woodworth in an 1884 issue of the Berkshire Eagle of a recent fire ....".
