We are not members of the TGS as we have never been able to afford it and up until fairly recently most of the members would not respond to inquiries. Things have changed quite a bit over the past 5 years or so. My husband is actually the Tower descendant and like you is, I belive, an 11th generation descendant (might be 12th, not sure as I haven't done much genealogy lately). As for use of the info, it is for my own personal use and for my children's info. I am not writing a book, have no intention of publishing information on-line or anything like that. I am just trying to gather as much accrate information as I can regarding any/all descendants of John Tower and Margaret Ibrook so my children and their children will know they descend from ancient stock, great politicians and persons of note. Brett and I live in CT, not far from Hingham, MA. I will be more than happy to provide you with any information I have in my database on persons you may be interested in or on Brett's ancestry. I don't recall ever posting that information. We go all the way back to John Tower 1609-1701. I have plenty of specific information that I can give offline. We descend from John's son Benjamin. Are you a member of the Tower Genealogical Society? How are you using this information? Since my mother is still alive, I am a little leery of giving out information to someone I don't know. William (age 26) was born in Pittsfield to parents Michael Leonard and Mary Burke. I can see records online until 1910. I think you had mentioned that one of Joseph's daughters Catherine had married an Owens - I can't see a marriage there. Note that there was the reverse- Kate Owens married David Heaton Jr. Also, I just checked and I don't beleive that David Jr. and Kate Owens had any children (1896-1899). It was used then for a young man when there was an older man with the same name in the same town. They did not even have to be related. This often leads to confusion when the older one died, and the one called 'Junior" was no longer called that, and another unrelated person became the "junior".
