His son John (Your Mary Hanley's brother) is my great grandfather on my mother's side. Most of the Hanley info I've found lately comes from your tree, but if I find anything new on that side of the family, I'll let you know if you'd like. 3. If you belong to ancestry.com you can search the North Adams Transcript for obituaries. I just did an exact search for her and did not find anything. If you google the North Adams Town Hall you will find a phone number for the cemetery office. They have all deaths on file cards and they will tell you which cemetery she is buried in, if she is buried in North Adams. 3. James PRIEST married Elizabeth Barton ? circa 1925. I assume it was in Berkshire Co. He supposedly died about 1928 and she died on 5 Feb 1941 in North Adams. Elizabeth Priest's death certificate lists her as Elizabeth Marshall Priest. It states she was age 57 born in London, England. It also states that she was 'buried in Vault' but no mention of a cemetery. I have just searched the listings for cemeteries in Berkshire Co and did not find any PRIEST surname listings. I am hoping there might have been an obituary for James and Elizabeth Priest I have read that North Adams is the largest town in Berkshire Co so I assume an obit would have been in a newspaper for that won. Any assistance on this brick wall will be truly appreciated. Regards, Bettye Heinrich

An 1861 Adams marriage record states that John Suyllivan married Zorada Pay 2 Ma 1861 in Adams; he 28 from Ireland and she 16 from Clarksburg. Her parents William & Rosa and his parents Martin & Ann. However when daughter Annie Sullivan marrys Stephen J Anderson 28 Feb 1894 in Haverhill, she gives her parents as John & Zorrada Veazie (Visage). Some censuses have the parents being from Canada. 1. [MABERKSH] BERKSHIRE COUNTY WILLS AND ESTATES
    2. Patty Fagan
    3. Hello, I believe you can get all this information from the Berkshire Co. Courthouse in Pittsfield, but if you have access to a Family History Center and want to do it yourself, you can rent the Berkshire Co. probate films. For files 1835+ it's a 3-part process. First rent the three films listed below. The first film -- the general index -- provides name, date, town, type of file and docket number for each recorded estate. - Index to probate records v. 1-3, 1761-1930 - FHL US/CAN Film [ 1749904 ] Once you've found docket numbers, check the docket films. These particular films would span your two dates. - Probate docket no. 5575-7055, 1835-1847 - FHL US/CAN Film [ 1749897 ] - Probate docket no. 7055-10926, 1847-1869 - FHL US/CAN Film [ 1749898 ] Each docket will provide a list of proceedings within an estate settlement: dates, short description, volumes and pages for each facet of an individual's estate settlement. Then, based on the vol. and page numbers, you can rent films of the actual proceedings. Refer to the FH Catalog for film numbers. I hesitate to recommend the last step, as some estates will require several films, some of which are difficult to read and of varying importance. But the first step, consulting the index and docket films yourself, could unearth additional family names and dates.
