Do you want similar contact info for Williamstown? I believe there are only 1 or 2 cemetaries there. I have been to the Williamstownt town hall and Eastlawn cemetary, and found helpful people at both. Carol

Does anyone know of specific names of cemeteries for these two towns and someone who maintains the records of burials and/or where I could write to obtain their death records if their specific date of death is unknown?? I don't have the specific dates of death for Lorenzo although he had to have died after April 1930, as I found him on the census for that year, living with one of his married daughters, Harriet L. (Gardner) NORTHUP and her family in Williamstown. He was born July 1861 in Burdicksville, MA. Emily E. Burdick Gardner was born Jul 1858 in Clarksburg, Berkshire County, the daughter of Lyman G. Burdick and Harriet MADISON. I located Emily on the 1930 census record for Williamstown MA as age 72, living with another of their married daughters, Ethel M. (Gardner) COURTOF and her family. So Emily, too would have died after April 1930, but her specific date of death is unknown at this time. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kem Kay Hart-Baker
I am looking for any information on the Housatonic Hall that existed at 170 South Street in Pittsfield in 1921. It was run by the Misses Crosby and Davis, proprietors. Several years ago I was sent a postcard of this, also called the Mohawk Inn or the Pittsfield Inn. The postcard was from Rick Leab Collection. It looks like a bed-and-breakfast would look today - a large, well-maintained house. Thank you, Sherry Braun Tallahassee, Florida

I am researching what I believe to be the same strand, although I'm having difficulty in connecting my ancestors to Samuel and Sarah - I'm pretty sure one of their sons, (b. 2/28/1809 in St. Lawrence county New York) was my gggg grandfather, but I can't find a birth certificate to verify this. Any information you may have would be helpful. I did find information that Samuel's father was John and Samuel was born in Vermont before moving with his father to New York.. John also relinguished control of the children to John Brooks after Samuel and Sarah died in 1811, feeling that he was too old to care for them. thanks, Kelli

John, General John Fellows of Sheffield bivowacked the Berkshire County Militia at Tift's Mills (located in town of Eaton on east bank of Hudson River near Stillwater) during October 1777. I don't recall any Ferry's in the 1st Berkshire though. Perhaps Phoebe come from that area? If so I can dig up the contact info for the town historian there.
