Thank you, that info is very helpful and I am so happy to hear that your husband remembers the store. James/Jimmy/Vincenzo Russo was the proprieter and died relatively young, it was then turned into a Transmission repair business that still stands. I remember a Jim and or John Foley from Pittsfield, I believe they were brothers. The Pittsfield library has been very helpful in getting articles for me. You can email them or call them....the information is on their site. They will bill you $5.00 for look-ups and the photocopy and postage. My husband (Foley) grew up in Pittsfield and remembers the store. He also remembers the Sanginetti name.
