Richar T Grays father was also Richard born May 1734 in Harwich, Massachusetts. He married a Mary Tompkins. I am not sure on any of this thats what I am trying to figure out. I do know this Harrison Gray born in Dutchess County New York to Vincent and Percilla ? . Vincents Father was Frances Gray and Nancy ? All of them born in Dutchess County New York. Frances Gray born Abt. 1818 Vincent Gray born Feb 1850 Harrison Gray born 29 Jul 1875 what I am trying to figure out whom Frances Father was. in 1800 Census I get the following People in Dutchess.1800 United States Federal Census David Gray Fishkill, Dutchess, NY 1800 William Gray Franklin, Dutchess, NY 1800 Godfrey Gray North East, Dutchess, NY 1800 William Gray Rhinbeck, Dutchess, NY 1800 in 1810 Census I get the following. 1810 United States Federal Census William Gray Clinton, Dutchess, NY 1810 Allanson Gray Frederick, Dutchess, NY 1810 Jonathan Gray Frederick, Dutchess, NY 1810 Godfrey Gray North East, Dutchess, NY 1810 Richard T Gray North East, Dutchess, NY 1810 William Gray Patterson, Dutchess, NY 1810 William Gray Rhinebeck, Dutchess, NY 1810 When researching the web I ran across the following information. On Richard T Gray in Dutchess, New York . Richard GRAY b. prob. 1734-5 in Harwich, MA (Cape Cod) m. Mary TOMPKINS b. abt 1740 in Cape Cod. They are listed in the 1774-1779 tax lists for Northeast, and 2-1763-1771 in Sotheast. Children: John b. abt 1770, lived Pine Plains; Daniel b. 1773-4, settled in western NY; Richard T. (Tompkins?) b. 1776 prob. in Dutchess Co. He's burried in Richard Gray Burial Ground; Hannah b. 1780 m. Ed. REYNOLDS; Lydia b. 1782 m. Abel ELDRIDGE; Jane b. 1784 m. Michael ROWE; Priscilla b. 1786 m. Eleazer CONKLIN; and my ancestor, Ambrose T. b. 24 Jan 1788 m. 1818 to Almira FINCH. They lived in Pine Plains . Almira was the daughter of Caleb FINCH and Deborah (?). I have their Bible with names and b. dates of all 10 of their chidlren, prob. the only place they are recorded as NY didn't keep vital records until 1880. Richard GRAY was prob. in the exodus from Harwich and Yarmouth on Cape Cod in the 1740s Which the information was matching what I was researching.
