Hi: I'm bleary eyed from searching the Internet and hoping that someone may know the answer to this! There was a Benjamin KELLEY of W. Dennis who served the Lifesaving Service at High Head in Truro. He was 32 at the time he joined on in 1886, so born about 1854. I have read about him in Dennis Historical Society Newsletters and Nancy Thacher Reid's book on the history of Dennis (both offer incredible information for anyone with Dennis roots). I'm wondering if this was the Benjamin KELLEY born W. Dennis 16 October 1854, son of Benjamin and Mercy (LEWIS) KELLEY. I only have his birth record. His marriage is not recorded in Dennis VR and there is no gravestone in Dennis for him listed in Burt Derick's book on Dennis Cemetery Inscription book. So, it does seem he left Dennis. I haven't searched Truro records yet for him. Thanks, Chris Chirokas Westford, MA
