I am trying to uncover any information on John Buck and his wife, Elizabeth ( ) and all their children. Is there a reliable source, besides vital records, that I can gleamed information from. Kevin, John Buck was of Scituate, Plymouth Co (not normally the focus of this list) but his will mentions children in Sandwich and Yarmouth. Perhaps others have information on them. I checked the Scituate VRs, Scituate church records, The Mayflower Descendant and Bangs' Scituate Town Records to find the following. Because of the four year gap between Benjamin and Deborah, I wonder if there's another child. I found no mention of his first wife. I didn't find the Garret spouse. Hope this gets you started. John Buck married Sarah Faunce, daughter of John Faunce and Patience Morton, on 26 Apr 1693 at Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA. He died between 4 Sep 1697 and 21 Sep 1697. His estate was probated on 27 Sep 1697. He left a will on 4 Sep 1697 at Scituate, Plymouth Co, Ma; "I will that all my houseing and lands lying in Sittuate be .... sold and equally divided between my daughters"; "I give and bequeath one Cow to my daughter Chandler .... I give .... to her Children Each of them one Sheep"; "to Isaac Randalls two Children to Each of them Six Shillings"; "to John garrets Children twelve Shillings apeece"; "to all my grand Children liveing at yarmouth and Sandwich one shilling to Each of them:" "my Son in law Isaac Randall to be my .... She was baptized on 4 Oct 1663 at Second Church of Scituate, Scituate, Plymouth Colony. She married Benjamin Chandler, son of Edmond Chandler. ii. MARY was born on 26 Jun 1655. She was baptized on 4 Oct 1663 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. iii. JOSEPH was born on 26 Jun 1657. He was baptized on 4 Oct 1663 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. iv. JOHN was born on 6 Sep 1659. He was baptized on 4 Oct 1663 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. v. HANNAH was born on 9 Aug 1661. She was baptized on 4 Oct 1663 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. vi. SUSANNA was born on 19 Jul 1664. She was baptized on 21 Aug 1664 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. vii. BENJAMIN was born on 15 Mar 1665/66. He was baptized on 10 Jun 1666 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony. viii. She was baptized on 4 Oct 1674 at Scituate, Plymouth Colony.10 She probably married John Dwelly on 4 Jan 1692/93 at Scituate, Plymouth Co, Ma. There were no children of John Buck and Sarah Faunce.
