    3. Could this be his death record? This is from the Sandwich VRs to 1885, ed. Kardell & Lovell. p. 1147. Entry #95, Apr 13 1864, Cornelius Fisher, married, age 56y 9m 9d, Consumption, res Sandwich, born Sandwich, died Sandwich, father David b. Sandwich, mother Sylvia b. Falmouth. I can only say I *suspect* he may be the Cornelius found in Charlestown. Have you found them in the 1840 census yet? David's son looks like he's still in the household in Sandwich in the 1830 census (dated 1 Jun 1830). If he is related to the Sandwich bunch, then beware of the last name, it will change from Fish to Fisher and back again, from one entry to the next! It seems that the further away from the Cape they got, the more likely the name changed to Fisher. Did his wife die shortly after the 1860 census? If so, that would have given him fair reason to return "home" to Sandwich. Do you have her death record yet? Any idea where she's buried? And if this is a Cape Cod branch, then I suspect her maiden name might be ELLIS, not ELLS, as you have written, a common name on the Cape. If you can tell me more about her, perhaps I can give you some more clues. Cheers!
