It seems you were able to access information the town clerks office didn't have! I will look into the Clark information.The Joseph Clark (d.1908) is the father. He was born in 1815. I found this information on the Provincetown historical Cemetery list. I also recieved a confirmation on the headstone transcription from the clerks office there. tIf you have time Would you be so kind as to look up a Charles Darby for me? I have him listed as living in Provincetown 1880 age 82 grandfather. Head of household was Sylvester Ellis wife Sarah. I did search for him on other census records with no luck.
