Erastus TORRANCE, b. 4/11/1827 Pembroke, Plymouth Co, MA - d. 3/1854, is supposed to be listed in one of the historical books on ship wrecks. If you don't mind checking, I've been searching for the book which contains this information: "The Packet Russell was wrecked in a violent gale of wind near Wellfleet on Cape Cod; Captain and crew perished. The following names of men who perished were listed: Capt. William Simmons, Ichabud Rogers, Erastus Torrance, Alpheus Richmond, Harvey Ramond & son, Elkanah Barnes, Henry Weston & Edward Griffin."
