Rootsweb is hosting an extremely valuable project in the transcription of vital records for Barnstable County now in progress. The site is www.rootsweb.com/~mabarnst/vitalrecords/vrindex.html The records for Truro to 1850 are at this site. I found the following--"Elizabeth Cooke the daughter of Caleb and Deliverance Cooke died November the seventeenth in the year 1715. Abigail Cooke the daughter of Caleb and Deliverance Cooke died the twentisixth day of November in ye year 1715. Experience Cooke the daughter of Caleb and Deliverance Cooke was born at Truro in the year 1714." These entries were together and no other children were found, but it would seem probable that another daughter Elizabeth was born to Caleb and Deliverance and named for the child who died, as was commonly done.
