It was from J Henry Sears of Brewster, a master mariner who adventures could not be rivaled. Sears was now retired from the sea and was an important shipowner in Boston. The ship he ordered was named Ellen Sears, in honor of J Henry's sister. The captain was to be J F Bartlett, who married young Miss Ellen. Ellen died abt 1858
