    1. [Barnstable Co MA] Truro VRs, 1790s - 1830s

    3. Would anyone have a copy of the Truro VRs at hand and be willing to do a (hopefully) quick lookup? >From a published genealogy, I have the following data, anything bracketed is my addition or supposition: Huldah Rich died [Truro?] 30 Apr 1841 age 72. Thomas Rich m2. Huldah Baker 19 Sep 1816 [at Truro?] Do either of these events appear in the Truro VRs? If so, do either mention her status as a widow, possibly of Richard Baker? Thomas Rich pre-deceased her in 1835 in Truro. Is Richard Baker's death or burial listed? I have in my database a Huldah who married a Richard Baker. Richard Baker supposedly died in 1811. Just thinking that these two Huldah's are one in the same. If so, then Huldah was born 11 Jun 1769 in Truro to Benjamin Rich and Lucy Somes, making her Huldah (Rich) (Baker) (Rich), marrying her 3rd cousin. Cheers! Bobbie Hall Chicago

    3. Hi Bobbie, Yes, Huldah died in Truro and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Truro. She is next to her 1st husband Richard Baker. They are in our family plot. Huldah and Richard are my 4th great grandparents. I am descended through their son, Moses. My parents live on property originally purchased by Moses Baker. Thomas was Huldah's cousin. They were married in Truro. You have Huldah's parents correct. Her Rich ancestry is documented by Evelyn Rich and published by NEHGS. Lucy is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge with her son, Benjamin. Lucy's husband, Benjamin is buried in Truro in a small smallpox cemetery in Truro. I believe it is on Holsberry Rd. It's in the woods and I haven't been able to find it, but a friend gave me an old photo of it. I also have photos from Pine Grove and Mt. Auburn, if you would like to see them. I would be happy to share any additional information about the family. Are you releated to this family?
