Hi again, I am trying to find out who the parents were of a Simeon CROSBY who married in Cambridge, MA, in 1787. there are a half-dozen or so Simon or Simeon CROSBY's in MA in the 1600's and 1700's, not all accounted for, and several mistakes by researchers.. I have just noticed that Rev. Thomas CROSBY in Eastham had a son, Simon, b1665. But, I have no further information on this Simon. Does anyone know if this son lived to adulthood ? And, if he did, did he have descendants, possibly with a Simon CROSBY, born in 1760's ? I checked the 1790 Census for CROSBY in Barnstable County, and found 16 households, mostly in Yarmouth, Barnstable, and Harwich. But, no Simon CROSBY. Oh, I just checked different spellings, and found CROSBEY mentioned, 8 households, all in Harwich except one in Eastham, but, again, no Simon. Betty (near Lowell, MA) P.S. I am descended from about a dozen early arrivals in the MA Bay Colony, including MOORE, KIDDER, RICE, HUTCHINSON, CROSBY, and possibly WILKINS, and more possibly DEXTER, CLARK, MANCHESTER, TOMPKINS, etc. New List created on Feb. 1: CAN-USA-MIGRATION For Genealogy researchers, please remember to check the archives of the Lists & Boards for both your surnames and place-names.
