Hello, In addition to what I just posted, I'd like to ask if anyone has good information on the descendants of Rev. Thomas CROSBY in Eastham, MA (Cape Cod area). I would like to find out if there is further information on his son, Simon CROSBY, b1665 in Eastham. By the way, the CROSBY book I'm looking at does not mention the name of Rev. Thomas' wife, just Sarah. But, I have written in that her name was Sarah FITCH. (I must have read that on-line someplace.) The book says that they had 12 children, but does not further information on them, except for the marriage of 2 daughters: Sarah to Silas SEARS, and Anne to William LUSE, and Mercy was still unmarried in 1702. Both books have Rev. Thomas and Sarah having twin boys in 1670, both dying as infants, and having triplets (all girls?) in 1678. One died young, one possibly grew up but did not marry, and the third was the Anne above. Their sons (who lived?) were Thomas, Simon, Joseph, William, Ebenezer, and Eleazer. A comment in the Cambridge book says: "Thomas, the father, died in Boston in 1702. His posterity on the Cape was both numerous and respectable." The CROSBY book says: Rev. Thomas "... he contined as a mnister there (Eastham) until 1670. Later he became a merchant at Harwhich, MA, and, while on a business trip to Boston, was found dead in bed there in 1702, aged 67 years. ..... His descendants were numerous and of high respectability; continued on Cape Cod for many generations, and about 1780 some of them went to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia." Oh, by the way, the CROSBY book says there is further information on the family of Rev. Thomas in the book, Freeman's "Cape Cod." And, I would think that there is information in a book on the history of Eastham. http://www.eastham-ma.gov/Public_Documents/EasthamMA_WebDocs/about http://www.eastham-ma.gov/public_documents/index http://www.easthamhistorical.org/ Oh, I just looked at my map and see that Eastham is way up on the Cape on the way to Provincetown !
