I have found records of 16 original gravestones from the 1600's located in Barnstable County. 14 of the 16 exist today. If you know of other original gravestones from the 1600's, please let me know. There are several Monuments on Cape Cod erected in the 19th and 20th centuries memorializing deaths in the 1600's but these monuments should not be confused with original gravestones.
