    1. [Barnstable Co MA] FIX Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph which identifies one of the young women in the photograph as Tina FIX. The photograph was taken at the I. L. Rosenthal Studio in Provinctown, Massachusetts. I would guess that it was taken in the early 1900's with Tina likely in her 20's at the time. There are two other women in the photograph, one appearing to be in her 20's as well and the third woman older likely in her 30's or 40's. It is possible that they are related, however, only the one name appears next to one of the subjects. I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this FIX Family so know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. [Barnstable Co MA] William Stanton Perry (1799-1862)
    2. I found some postings on this man in the archives of this list from 2003, and I wanted to try to make contact with anyone who descends from this man, with the hopes that they may be members of this list. William Stanton Perry is one of my husband's ancestors. He was born in South Kingston, Rhode Island, and lived there all or most of his life, as far as I know. He was a Quaker, and he was a member of the South Kingston MM. His mother might have been a daughter of Joseph Perry (1752-1818) and his wife Mary Stanton. Joseph was a son of Edward Perry (born 1707) of Sandwich, Barnstable County, MA, and his wife Sarah Tripp. This man has been a challenge ever since I discovered him in the family tree. Some believe he might have been a son of Samuel Perry of the Kingston area, but the story that a family Bible indicates that Susanna Perry, daughter of Joseph, was his mother would contradict that theory. I would like very much to see a scanned image or photocopy image of that Bible, and any family letters that address the same subject, and I would be happy to pay the expense involved. If the Bible is in the hands of a historical society, please tell me which one. If you have any information to share on this man and his parentage or descendants, I would be delighted to hear from you. My husband is a descendant, by way of William's son Edward Burroughs Perry. One of my "brick walls" is a James CLARK/E born in the same timeframe (or between 1780 to 1800). James married in 1829 in Westport, MA, and at that time he stated he had previously lived in nearby Little Compton, RI. But, that town seemingly has no records on him. He could have been born almost anywhere, but my "guess" is in MA, RI, or CT. I'm only guessing at his age when he married; all I know is that his wife from Westport, MA, was born there in 1800. (I have no idea whether it was a 2nd marriage for him; it was her 2nd marriage.) I just learned recently that there was at least one CLARK family which was among the "Loyalists" heading to Canada ! So, the possibility exists that James came back down to the MA / RI border as an adult. Betty (near Lowell, MA) (IF I could prove that the older couple which adopted my grandmother when she was a baby - were her grandparents, then James CLARK would be my ancestor.)
