Hi, sorry for holiday delay in responding to your query. A William Palmer, born abt 1581 in England, and Wife Frances ---, married about 1610, came over on the Fortune in 1621. His first residence was Plymouth, then removed to Duxbury. He died 1637/8. Married 2nd before 1637 Mary ---. [Sketch from Anderson, Great Migration Begins] Anderson gives a "Bibliographic Note: In 1956 Florence Barclay produced the definitive article on William Palmer, resolving many of the outstanding problems, outlining the careers of the two sons of the immigrant named William, and pointing out several errors in Savage, particularly the mixing of son William (b. 1612) with the man who went to Newtown, Long Island [TAG 32:39-45]. Hist of Wethersfield Conn states that John Palmer was a possible brother of Henry and was there in 1657. I do not have access to the TAG references. I can't tie Susanna to William. Hello Barnstable County Listers, I am having an immense problem in finding the gravesites of my paternal ancestral family prior to 1910 and at least one of my ancestors who died after 1910. Prior to 1910, the MA. Archives, NEHGS and the local genealogical societies are often lacking that information. I am searching for the final resting place of my gr3-grandparents, Isaiah DAVIS, b. bet. August 26, 1790 - 1792 in Falmouth, MA., captured in War of 1812, m. Experience GREW on May 25, 1818 in Falmouth, had at least 5 children, d. May 28, 1865 in Falmouth. Experience/Experiance GREW, b. bet. October 12, 1794 - 1796 to Jonathan GREW-III and Mercy/Marcy FISH, d. December 29, 1852 in Falmouth. Henry G. DAVIS' (Isaiah's and Experience's son), final resting place is also one of my brick walls. Thank you in advance of any reply. Joan Boetger
Was wandering thru the old newspaper collection & found the following which I see is not listed in the Falmouth VRs. In the New-Bedford Mercury, Date: 08-07-1840; Volume: XXXIV; Issue: 7; Page: [3]; "In Nantucket, Mr Joseph O Bodfish of Barnstable to Miss Adeline Eldridge of Falmouth" Hope this helps someone. Not one of mine, so have no further information. Cheers, Bobbie Hall Chicago

Hi Charlie Wonderful stuff!! I'm searching for a Thomas AMES from central England born around 1806. However, as I've been searching my maternal side (my mother was Inez Irene AMES) for 25 years I've come across a lot of English AMES genealogy, but I'm so very stuck on my Thomas! Have you read/seen 'The genealogical memoranda of the family of AMES' by Reginald AMES. It may add to your knowledge. I recently came across an Ames genealogy at the Sturgis Library in Barnstable MA written by Walcott Ames.
