    1. [MA-MENDON] a Rhode Island question
    2. I wanted to spend one day and an overnight in RI to look up families in Pawtucket Was wondering what is the best way to spend one day. Also, would like to know if it is possible to obtain a Catholic church record of burial in Fairlawn/Pawtucket... I believe Dexter Payne was buried in Fairlawn Pawtucket in a Catholic Church Burial in 1788 and was wondering where that kind of record might be kept. He lived in Burrilville, Smithfield, Pawtucket, Blackstone, etc. but the obituary in the newspaper says he was buried in Pawtucket with the Hannaway family in attendance and I am thinking that Catherine Hanaway was a Catholic church member and he married her and may have converted to Catholic. He is not in the RI cemetery data base Jean Thanks... my sister is coming from CA and we only have 1 day and 1/2 so thought I would get the direct answer from someone on the "border"... Anyone who would like to attend our "cousins" party it will be on the 21st at New England Steak and Seafood in Mendon (where we first went to the drive in movies in high school)

    2. Alice Palladini;
    3. Morning Listers and Jean, Jean would the Woonsocket American French Genealogy Society and I believe there is one in Pawtucket .. They have the Cemetery records..I know they did the Woonsocket and area ones, so probably did Paw. also. They have a wealth of info not only French Canadian material. Plus they have data on Blackstone, Woon, and area towns. Worth looking into. I believe they have a web site also. AFGS. Lucky you taking a genealogy jaunt. :) Alice alicep@rcn.com Message from Massachusetts
