Dearest family members/: sister and daughter: You honor those of us on the mailing lists by sharing your sad news. I met Norma accidentally in the Lynnfield Public Library several years ago. There were only a half dozen people there in the genealogy section and we discovered we were both working on the James Trask line of ancestry. Since that time, Norma shared generously with me the research that she had done. Both Norma and I were working on the ancestry of George Trask's mother "Eunice" from Glocester Rhode Island to Mendon MA. We had the first name Eunice but did not have her maiden name. Norma found it in the Boston MA archives. Norma continued our conversations on line and with her postings to the MA Worcester and the MA Mendon mailing lists. I feel I have known her for almost ten years. I know that she was fighting the cancer courageously and was hoping to make a trip to New England in the summer of 2004. Unfortunately, this did not progress for her. She has a sister here? I am so sorry and wanted to offer my condolences. Please know that we appreciate the fine research that Norma was preparing on the Ballou, Trask, and other lines. I would wish that you could be able to donate some of her papers perhaps to the Mendon Historical Association? The Mendon Public Library maintains files from the MHA and they are a valuable resource to persons visiting the area. Email is a poor format for this, and normally I would send a real card, but since it is already a month past I decided on speed over other issues and wanted to respond to your e mail that came through the mailing lists this week. I was sorry to read that your mother died and feel at a loss for words except that your mom was appreciated on the mailing lists. Sincerely, Jean Sanders Haverhill MA
